Obsidian

Obsidian is an igneous rock that forms as a natural glass when viscous volcanic lava cools quickly. Obsidian is low in water content, very silica rich (65 to 80 percent), and chemically comparable to rhyolite. Obsidian is slightly tougher than window glass and has a glassy sheen.
