Rose Quartz

The silica mineral quartz, which is transparent, typically turbid, and very coarse-grained, is known as rose quartz and is found in pegmatites. The mild to deep pink colour of rose quartz, which may be a result of titanium, makes it valuable. From ancient times, it has been cut and faceted to produce diamonds with good brilliance.
