Turquoise

With the chemical formula CuAl6(PO4)4(OH)84H2O, turquoise is an opaque, blue to green mineral. It is a hydrated phosphate of copper and aluminium. Due to its distinctive colour, it has been coveted as a gemstone and ornamental stone for thousands of years. Finer grades are rare and precious.
